Yesterday we had the great honor of hosting the National EMS Memorial Service at our headquarters in Lewisville, TX. “The Moving Honors procession is incredibly important to all of us at Global Medical Response,” said GMR President and CEO Nick Loporcaro. “Today’s ceremony gave our teams, industry colleagues and the community the chance to pay their respects and honor the ultimate sacrifice made by these 59 EMS first responders. As the procession continues its journey to Arlington, we hope that others will take the opportunity to pay tribute to these brave souls.” Safe travels to our National EMS Memorial Service Moving Honors team members, as they continue their journey to Arlington, VA! #MovingHonors2023 #NEMSMS2023 #WeekendofHonor

Check out this incredible time-lapse journey of our GMR technician crews who orchestrated the assembly of an H125 at its Dallas-based completion center. Over the span of 16-18 weeks, our team of skilled technicians meticulously brought together the components of this helicopter, which was then delivered to the Med-Trans base in Klamath Falls, OR. We are thankful for our talented structure technicians, avionics technicians and quality control technicians, each of which have a hand in the completion of each aircraft that goes through our Dallas facility. Incredible work, team, and thank you for all you do! #OneTeam

With more than 32 years of experience, Doug Jones is a true veteran in the EMS industry. Doug started his career with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, but it was his volunteer work with the local fire department that sparked his passion for EMS. He soon went on to become an emergency medical technician (EMT) and then a paramedic, leaving his engineering job behind. Throughout his career, Doug has held a variety of positions where he has consistently demonstrated his dedication and expertise. From his start as an EMT to paramedic, field training officer, field supervisor, administrative supervisor, operations manager, national director for OPAP (Operations Planning and Analytics Platform) to his current position as the vice president of analytics and operations research, Doug’s drive for quality service is clearly evident. His commitment and hard work have opened doors of opportunity and allowed him to excel in each role. Doug’s ability to form strong relationships with internal and external customers contributes to his success. He also cares deeply for his coworkers. Meet Heather Keller, a dedicated and compassionate member of the GMR team for more than six-and-a-half years! Heather discovered her passion for EMS while helping to film a CPR video and has since dedicated her career to helping others and making a positive impact in people's lives. When she started as an EMT, Heather worked to advance her skills and knowledge, and eventually held positions as a critical care transport (CCT) paramedic, lead field training officer (FTO) and human resource (HR) coordinator. Currently, she’s a human resource (HR) generalist. The unique challenges faced in the field as a first responder helped Heather grow as a professional and have given her the ability to better understand and support her fellow teammates. Sharon Hughes has dedicated the last 25 years to serving our communities through EMS. Sharon began her career as an EMT with Rural Metro Fire, and over the years has advanced her career by becoming an advanced emergency medical technician (AEMT) and certified instructor coordinator (CIC), teaching Earn While You Learn (EWYL) EMT classes and providing care at special events such as Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits games. Sharon has always recognized that teamwork is a crucial element in delivering quality care to patients. Her experience working alongside different people has allowed her to learn and grow both personally and professionally. Sharon believes that collaboration, communication and trust are the cornerstones of effective teamwork in EMS. Sharon's dedication to teamwork and delivering quality care to patients is an inspiration to us all, and we are grateful for her contributions to our team and the communities that we serve.
