For our next #EMSforLife highlight, we want to introduce Joe Drago. In high school, Joe Drago set a career goal to help others. Joe earned his EMT certification after graduating and is now celebrating 20 years of EMS service this December. He has served in ground EMS as a tactical paramedic, operations supervisor and operations manager. In the air medical industry, Joe has served as a flight paramedic, clinical base manager and currently as a program director with REACH. Joe credits the skills he learned on the flight line as invaluable, opening the door for his advancement at REACH. Working as a flight paramedic taught him the importance of having a strong team and strong organizational skills to consistently perform at a high level. He encourages others interested in a career in EMS to stay focused on what their ultimate goal is and to always remember it is a privilege to help others in their time of need.

In honor of EMS Week 2023 we salute all EMS professionals like Christine Kennedy, who was drawn to a career in EMS because of her passion to help others. With more than 22 years of experience in the field, Christine has held various roles within GMR, including paramedic, field training officer (FTO), operations supervisor, operations manager and her current role as an ET3 coordinator. Today, her commitment to the success of the ET3 program and the improvement of patient outcomes is shown through her efforts to provide innovative services and dedicated training and education.
