Six scholars from Trivium Prep have been appointed to the City of Goodyear Youth Commission, marking a significant achievement for the school community. The appointees were Al Alexandrovich (11th grade), Ella Brinker (9th), Jason Drunasky (8th), Erica Ivatury (10th), Aariya Singh (10th), and Aleena Torres (10th). They were officially sworn in by Mayor Joe Pizzillo and the Goodyear City Council for their two-year term.

The Hoi Polloi (Greek for "The People") Barbershop Quartet from Cicero Prep, composed of Adam Myers, Ty Erickson, Alessandro De Los Santos, and Conner Collings, recently earned third place in the 2025 Far Western District High School Barbershop Quartet contest.

In front of proud parents, coaches, teammates, and classmates, Maryvale Prep senior Camden “Cam” McCoy made his college decision official when he signed his letter of intent to play football at Nebraska Wesleyan University, a D3 school in Lincoln, Nebraska.

At Archway Glendale, the end of the school year brought a new tradition that celebrated leadership, saying meaningful goodbyes, and welcoming new beginnings. The Pinning Ceremony honored the fifth-grade class as they passed on their leadership role to the rising fourth graders with a symbolic gesture of giving a Golden Eagle pin to the rising class.

It was a big day at Anthem Prep as three senior athletes signed their letters of intent to play college sports. Gabriel Contrerus will play soccer at Nelson University. Brielle Williams will be playing golf at Southern Virginia University. Abigail Purbis will be play basketball at Ottawa University in Surprise, Arizona.

Mr. Patrick Tierney, Latin teacher and mentor at the Great Hearts academy, is retiring after an extraordinary 50-year career in education, a career marked by pure joy, intellectual curiosity, and a deep commitment to the pursuit of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.

This year, North Phoenix Prep will celebrate a meaningful milestone, the graduation of its first group of students to complete their entire K–12 journey within the same Great Hearts community. Thirteen seniors in the Class of 2025 began their academic careers as kindergartners at Archway North Phoenix when its doors first opened in 2012.

Some of the best high school golfers in the Great Hearts network gathered to put on an impressive show at the 2nd Annual Great Hearts Invitational – Tournament of Cup Champions, also affectionately known as “The Quest for the Navy Jacket.” Kieran Walsh from Cicero Prep rose to the challenge, claiming the Navy Jacket with a score of 72, five strokes ahead of the competition.
