The Mock Trial program at Veritas Prep holds an impressive record in the world of Mock Trial championships. The varsity team, Atticus, recently took first place in the Arizona High School Mock Trial State Champions and will participate at the National High School Mock Trial Championship in May, hosted in Phoenix, Arizona.

Great Hearts Arizona is excited to announce that nine of our seniors have been named National Merit Finalists. These high-achieving seniors from Arete Prep, Chandler Prep, North Phoenix Prep, Scottsdale Prep, and Veritas Prep earned a high score on the PSAT and met other program requirements, placing them among approximately 15,000 of the most academically promising students in the nation.

The love of the language arts was celebrated at the annual Great Hearts Bard finalists competition. 12 finalists, ranging from grades 3rd through 5th, recited poetry on stage in front of their families, friends, faculty, and a panel of judges. Ultimately, it was fourth grader Lia McArthur from Archway Chandler, who was named the 2025 Bard.

The Great Hearts Bard, the annual poetry recitation competition among our third, fourth, and fifth grade scholars will take place in the Marley Performing Arts Center at Maryvale Prep on Friday, April 11th, 2025, at 6:30 PM (MST). Those who are unable to attend in person can cheer on their favorite orator while watching the livestream on YouTube.
