H2M architects + engineers was the architect for the Woodcrest Village Park apartments, the four-story, 260,000-square-foot rental complex, which will be close to the East Rockaway train station, is intended to attract young professionals who might otherwise move out of Nassau County. Watching this project come to life, from the early schematic design stages, to the incredible structure behind our team yesterday, really puts meaning behind the work we do here at H2M architects + engineers. H2M's team was proud to be able to be on site yesterday to receive a Smart Growth Award from Vision Long Island and be part of the bigger picture in keeping young families here on Long Island. #H2M #visionlongisland #architecture #design #longisland

Keith Summa, AIA tells us what inspires him about his work in today's edition of #WhyILoveH2M! Keith is a Senior Architect and Assistant Studio Director at H2M architects + engineers. Keith told us what he enjoys most about his position is "When I get to impart some of my knowledge to the younger staff. Whether it's walking by someone's desk and asking what they're working on or having someone approach me with a question (and me knowing the answer!), just having a sense of purpose is the most rewarding part of my position." For fun, we also asked Keith if he could pick up a new skill instantly, what would it be? He said, "Speed reading - Between e-mails and texts....it's essential." #H2M #careers #architects #architecture

Friday was the groundbreaking of the long anticipated sewer collection and conveyance project in the Village of Westhampton Beach. The H2M designed project, which was led by Nicholas Bono, P.E., Gregory Levasseur, P.E., and James Vierling, P.E. will allow for the connection of the main street business district and six condominium complexes to Suffolk County's waste water treatment plant at Gabreski Airport.
