Intermountain Healthcare (formerly SCL Health) has awarded a $250,000 grant to support and celebrate Tepeyac Community Health Center’s project to build a new clinic and expand access to primary medical, dental, and behavioral health services for uninsured and underinsured individuals in Denver, CO and surrounding areas. With continued support and partnership from Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, CO, Tepeyac Community Health Center has provided healthcare and key services to the Latino community in the Denver metro area for the past 25 years. According to the 2021 census, 29% of Denver residents are Hispanic/Latinx – and are Denver’s largest minority population. The new Tepeyac clinic will triple the number of patients Tepeyac can serve each year—currently, these patients may not have a primary care provider or may be waiting for a long time for an appointment to see a doctor. Tepeyac’s expanded facility is scheduled to open in early 2023 and will continue to provide resources to communities and work to remove barriers to healthcare.

Zipline, the global leader in instant logistics and delivery, recently announced it is beginning deliveries of prescriptions and medical products directly to select Intermountain Healthcare patients’ yards in the Salt Lake Valley area, and that interested customers can sign up to use the service and place orders. Zipline’s Utah delivery system will expand gradually over five years and will eventually be capable of delivering directly to more than 1 million people. With this new partnership, the companies are making healthcare more accessible, convenient, and better for the environment. Intermountain Healthcare is the first health system west of the Mississippi River to use Zipline to bring prescriptions and over-the-counter medications to patients’ homes via Zipline’s on-demand logistics system, which includes fully electric, autonomous aircrafts. This enables Intermountain to provide people-first care to its patients, in-person or virtually, and ensures patients can receive support in a convenient and accessible way.
