Finding childcare as a working parent can be a challenging task. At six of our Utah care sites, we have made that task easier by offering on-site (or near-site) childcare. Our Child Development Centers, located near hospitals in American Fork, Logan, Ogden, Provo, Salt Lake City, and St. George, are exclusively available to children of Intermountain caregivers. The centers are staffed by experienced early childhood professionals dedicated to nurturing every aspect of a child’s development. Children are provided with daily opportunities to grow physically, socially, emotionally, and cognitively. The centers focus on providing quality, loving care and encouraging curiosity and problem-solving through play-based learning and structured activities. We opened the first Child Development Center at Utah Valley Hospital in 1985. Staff and families recently celebrated their 40th anniversary on September 16. Since 1985, more than 13,500 children have attended an Intermountain Child Development Center at one of the six centers. The St. George Regional Child Development Center (opened in 2008) will be relocated to a new building this November, increasing capacity by nearly 75 children. Discover how we are building a stronger foundation for caregivers and families.
