Jazz Celebrates International Women's Day Last Friday, we came together in person and virtually to celebrate International Women’s Day. Our Jazz Association of Women Supporters (JAWS) team hosted a special event with guest speaker Jenn Harper, founder and CEO of Cheekbone Beauty, an Indigenous-owned beauty brand that honors representation and aims to help every Indigenous youth see and feel their tremendous value in the world. Together, we discussed how we can hashtag#InspireInclusion in our daily lives in a richer, more meaningful way to help create a more equitable and inclusive world for all women.
Today, on International Volunteer Day, we want to recognize and thank our global employees who gave their time, energy and enthusiasm to volunteer in their local communities throughout 2023. In Italy, Jazz employees partnered with Rise Against Hunger this year on an initiative to benefit families and children in Zimbabwe, organizing a day dedicated to packing and assembling thousands of food rations for schooling programs in developing countries. In addition, Jazz Spain partnered with Banco de Alimentos – a food bank that provides food aid to people experiencing poverty or social exclusion. Whether it was packaging food, serving meals or lending a helping hand, we are proud of everyone at Jazz who has given their time to volunteer this year. And to the organizations who let us work alongside you and be a part of your mission, thank you for the great work you do for our communities each and every day.

Last month, members of the Jazz team attended #LightTheNight Philadelphia, an event organized by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to raise awareness of #bloodcancer research and shine a light on the darkness of cancer. We’re committed to improving standards of care for patients with high unmet needs, and we’re inspired by our colleagues who in coming together in support of patients, reminded us of the difference we can make when we join forces to #CancelBloodCancer.

In honor of hashtag#LungCancerAwarenessMonth, we partnered with the Hope Cancer Center in Niles, OH and Aultman Timken Cancer Center in Canton, OH to raise awareness about small cell lung cancer (hashtag#SCLC). Jazz team members visited each hospital to provide information on lung cancer prevention, share resources for SCLC patients and caregivers, and educate on lung cancer screenings – with the help of an interactive inflatable mega-lung display! In honor of National Epilepsy Awareness Month, the Epilepsy Foundation launched their hashtag#ChangeOurEpilepsyStory campaign to help reduce the stigma associated with epilepsy and seizures. During hashtag#NEAM2023, and year-round, we are committed to shifting the narrative for people living with complex disorders, like epilepsy, and innovating to bring solutions and hope for patients and their families.
