Shanna, a Materials Management Manager with Kindred, has always had a goal to return to school, but she needed financial help to make that happen. Starting as a PCA and moving to her current role at the corporate level, Shanna has big dreams. She hopes that with the Scholarship of HOPE, she'll be able to make her next career move into administration. Her return to the classroom has been great. "It’s been fun. I’m learning something new because I’m going into healthcare administration. I’m taking an information technology class that’s teaching me the HIM department and learning the different systems and programs that they use. I’m taking a leadership class also, which is teaching different scenarios and how we would handle them as an administrator." The Scholarship of HOPE is funded by the Kindred Foundation and administered by The HOPE Fund. Kindred and The HOPE Fund have teamed up with Purdue University Global to offer educational opportunities for Kindred team members. To learn more about The Scholarship of HOPE visit the link below.
