Project details: • 100% production inspection • Manual load of part in nesting fixture • 10 second cycle time • Capable of measuring: 2 projected centerlines and 2 shoulder heights • Interface to a special printer to label each mated pair • Collect and store data in Kurt SPC software This custom gage has added significant value to the client’s production process in terms of increased throughput, reduced reject rates and an overall improvement in quality. On March 4, 2019, Kurt Manufacturing hosted Corey Rosen, Founder of the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO) and Drew Halunen, Senior Communications Advisor for US Senator and Presidential candidate, Amy Klobuchar. The day’s agenda included an introduction to Kurt and its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) as well as a tour of Kurt’s Minneapolis manufacturing operation. Kurt became 100% employee owned in 2011 after William Kuban, Kurt’s owner, sold his company shares to the ESOP as part of an ownership succession plan. Since 2011, Kurt’s ESOP has distributed over 147,000 shares to Kurt’s employee owners. Kurt employees have over $8MM in ESOP retirement benefits funded by the company as part of the company’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
