The Kurt-Engineered Systems Group has been designing turn key gaging since 1980. Recently we built this standalone gage station to inspect rocker arm functionality for 12 different critical dimensions. The verification mechanism clamping the part on a 3-point datum and inspecting each one in less than 6 seconds. Each part was fed into the gage via a vibratory rail type infeed system, inspected using LVDT KurtSmart Probes ™ with rejected parts guided down disposition chutes. This custom gage has added significant value to the client’s production process in terms of increased throughput, reduced reject rates and an overall improvement in quality. Kurt production gages provide a measurable return on the investment, lasting many years and processing millions of parts. Congratulations to our 17 New Employee Owners who entered the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) during our 2018 Plan year! Since October is Employee Ownership Month, we took the opportunity to hold our New Employee Ownership Orientation. During these meetings, we discuss the plan in greater detail, and outline the benefits of being an ESOP. Employees enter the Employee Stock Ownership Plan after being employed at Kurt Manufacturing for 1 year, and working 1,000 hours during that year. We are fortunate to be an Employee Owned Company, and encourage those who are interested in becoming Kurt Employee Owners to visit our careers page at http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQq6S. We have operations in Minnesota, Colorado, Nebraska and Wisconsin.
Teamwork Divides the Task and Multiplies the Success: Kurt’s Machining Division celebrates with a cookout for a job well done. Did you know that every October, The ESOP Association and employee owned companies like Kurt celebrate Employee Ownership Month? This is a time to reflect on the spirit of employee ownership and focus on the benefits of working together as one, cohesive team. As of 2017, the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO) estimates there are roughly 7,000 employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) covering about 14 million employees.
