The Lakefield team is wrapping up another incredible World Vets spay and neuter campaign in Otavalo, Ecuador, performing 367 spay and neuter surgeries to help improve the lives of pets and reduce animal overpopulation in the community. Each year, Lakefield fully sponsors team members to volunteer on a World Vets mission, giving them the opportunity to share their skills where they're needed most while making a lasting impact far beyond our own hospitals. Take a walk through the temporary clinic and see where compassion, teamwork, and a whole lot of dedication made all the difference. We're so proud of this amazing team and grateful for the work they do - both at home and around the world. 💙

Meet Jenna Mayer, Hospital Administrator at Eau Claire Animal Hospital in Wisconsin—someone who literally grew up inside the walls of the clinic she now leads. From greeting clients by name to driving an elderly pet parent to the ER because he had no way to get there, Jenna leads with empathy, connection, and fierce dedication. She started as a receptionist nine years ago and now leads a high-performing, deeply rooted team with some members celebrating 10, 20, even 30 years at the hospital. “I hope people remember my heart—that I poured everything into helping them grow and feel supported.” We’re proud to have Jenna as part of the Lakefield family. #LakefieldVeterinaryGroup #EveryoneLeavesALegacy #VeterinaryLeadership #ClientCare #HospitalAdministrator #EauClaireAnimalHospital

When our out-of-town team members visit, it’s a good excuse to snap a photo. Here’s the crew at this month’s Pupdate at our Kent, WA headquarters — catching up, sharing ideas, and making a few good (bad) dad jokes.

Last Saturday, the Minnesota Association of Veterinary Technicians (MAVT) celebrated its 50th anniversary with a special dinner honoring the profession's past, present, and future. Lakefield Veterinary Group was proud to be part of the celebration as one of MAVT’s platinum sponsors, and team members from across Minnesota attended. The evening was especially meaningful as Minnesota prepares to implement title protection for veterinary technicians next year—a major milestone for the profession. #MAVT50 #LakefieldProud #VeterinaryTechnicians #MNvettechs

At Lakefield Veterinary Group, we believe in stepping up for animals in times of crisis. When devastating wildfires swept through Los Angeles, Pasadena Humane played a critical role in the relief efforts—providing shelter, medical care, and resources to animals displaced by the fires. To support their lifesaving work, we launched a social media fundraising campaign, raising $9,324.04 with the help of our compassionate community. Lakefield matched an additional $5,000, bringing our total donation to $14,324.04. As the wildfires spread, countless pets and wildlife were left homeless or injured. Pasadena Humane acted swiftly, making room for incoming animals found in fire-affected zones. To do this, they transferred dogs already in their care to other shelters and rescue organizations, freeing up space for those in immediate danger. Their dedicated team worked tirelessly, reuniting lost pets with their families, providing medical treatment to injured animals, and ensuring every displaced pet had a safe place to go.
