Photos from the 2024 Doggie Dash in Portland, OR last weekend! Hospital teams from Town and Country Animal Hospital, Canyon Pet Hospital, Linwood Animal Clinic, and Cornell Center Animal Hospital helped raise awareness and funds for the Oregon Humane Society at this annual event. 🏃🏻♀️🐕 As Oregon Humane's largest fundraiser of the year, Doggie Dash brings together thousands of animal lovers to help OHS provide lifesaving programs and services to animals in need. Throughout the month of April, doctors from Lakefield Veterinary Group spent time at colleges with future leaders of the veterinary industry. Our team visited campuses and hosted lunch and learn sessions and social events aimed at fostering knowledge exchange and professional growth. These sessions provided opportunities for discussions on topics ranging from dental practices to oncology. Our goal is to empower the next generation of veterinary professionals and build a supportive community. As the month comes to a close, we reflect on the valuable connections made and remain committed to empowering talent in the veterinary field. Together with students, we look forward to shaping a future where compassion and expertise combine to improve the lives of animals and their human companions. An unconventional team meeting turned community trash pickup shows just how dedicated our hospitals are to our core value of Giving Back. In just 30 minutes, the team at Mt. Scott Animal Clinic in Portland, OR gathered hundreds of pounds of trash on their break. It's a big week for the Lakefield family! On Monday, June 5, a brand new specialty and emergency hospital is opening in Bellevue, WA. 👏 Lakefield owner Alexandre Desmarais and family took the hard hat tour while administrative staff from our Kent office pitched in to put together chairs, stools, and shelves. The finishing touches are being done as we speak, and we can't wait to open the doors on Monday!
