The Missing Man Table dates back to the Vietnam War. It stands in representation for Service Members who are absent either due to being Missing in Action or a Prisoner of War. Our Land O’Lakes VETS Employee Resource Group has historically set up a Missing Man Table for Memorial Day at headquarters in the cafeteria. The American Connection Project is a finalist in Fast Company’s 2021 World Changing Ideas Awards. It was named a finalist in the Politics & Policy and Corporate Responsibility categories, as well as an honorable mention in the Pandemic Response category, The American Connection Project Policy Coalition, which includes Land O'Lakes, Inc., officially launched in July 2020. The group has now grown to more than 150 organizations from incredibly diverse sectors of the American economy. Over the past year, this group has engaged state and federal policymakers to increase funding for broadband access, encourage stronger government coordination and more accurate reporting of broadband data, and expand telehealth access.
