Exposing our project managers to a day in the life of our field employees is helping our teams #buildbetter, #workbetter, and be more #collaborative! Our Mid-Atlantic Branch recently hosted a training session for our project management team to expose them to work in the field, increasing their exposure to change management and providing a fun team-building opportunity! This 8-10 month course was designed by a group effort from MD's Operations Manager, Gregory Hudson, and Trade Managers, Jason Obrien and Stan Layman. Our project management teams were split into two different groups - Electrical and Mechanical. In these groups, our PMs were cross-trained on our three trades, gained an understanding of the types of materials and tools associated with providing a safe environment, and were provided a realistic perspective of the issues that could arise in the field and the time and effort needed when performing all three trades. Stay tuned over the next several months as we continue to provide updates on our PM & Field Training sessions!
