Minecraft Meet the Mobs has landed at Alton Towers Resort! Minecraft ‘Meet the Mobs’ will bring Minecraft to life at Alton Towers Resort for the very first time, with families able to encounter Minecraft mobs and baby mobs in real life as part of standard park admission. Howard Ebison, Vice President, Alton Towers Resort said: "Minecraft helps children build, explore and imagine worlds of their own, and the Mobs are a vital part of what makes those worlds feel alive. That is why it feels so special to bring these characters into the real world at Alton Towers Resort, in a way families can discover and enjoy together. These first images show the baby Mobs finding their feet at Alton Towers Resort, ahead of families meeting them for themselves this summer. Minecraft Meet the Mobs has been created to capture the imagination and playfulness of Minecraft, with characters to meet, surprises to discover and an exclusive in-game reward to unlock along the way. We cannot wait for guests to experience it for themselves.”

Why Merlin Technology?
One year ago, LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort opened to great anticipation. Today, with ongoing service enhancements and refreshed experiences, the resort has gone from a new attraction to a preferred family destination — and posted the fastest first-year guest growth of LEGOLAND Resort globally. On July 5, LEGOLAND® Shanghai Resort celebrated its first anniversary since its grand opening. A 2.7-meter-tall birthday cake made entirely of LEGO®️ bricks was unveiled at LEGO Plaza, kicking off a special celebration. With a lively band playing, representatives from the Shanghai Municipal Government, Jinshan District Government, New Jinshan Investment Holding Group, the LEGO Group, and Merlin Entertainments joined thousands of invited guests and guests at LEGO Plaza, posing for photos with LEGOLAND characters Mike and Amy to commemorate the milestone.

Jo Kinsey has been an integral part of the Madame Tussauds Team since 1997. We caught up with Jo to find out more about her journey so far. 'From a young age, I knew I wanted a creative career, but it was Madame Tussauds that truly captured my imagination. I remember seeing friends’ photos from visits in the 1980s and being mesmerised by the figures, desperate to understand how they were created. Years later, after training in Hairdressing and gaining technical knowledge in hair science, I returned to London determined to join the studio team. After completing a challenging hair insertion task during my interview, I was overjoyed to receive my contract, the moment I realised I would be working for a brand I had admired for so long. From my very first day at Madame Tussauds London, I knew I had found somewhere special, surrounded by passionate creatives who inspired me to grow. Over the years, I progressed from Hair & Finishing Artist to Technical Process Leader and Supervisor, travelling internationally to support global Madame Tussauds launches and train studio teams. I’ve been fortunate to contribute to high-profile figure projects and support the development of new creative experiences, including design work such as the MT 1835 Champagne Bar. Today, as Studio Manager, I lead a talented team of artists and remain incredibly proud to be part of a brand that continues to inspire creativity and bring unforgettable experiences to life.'
