Last week, we participated in our very first Learning at Work Week 📚 📚 across all regions here at Metagenics. This is an annual event that aims to build learning cultures within organizations and the theme this year was “Learning Power”­, a theme designed to explore how lifelong learning empowers individuals, teams, and organizations to achieve their goals. 🌱 That’s the journey that we are on as a business—as we evolve in how we serve our customers, we believe that it’s just as important for our team members to evolve as well. Whether it’s in skill or mindset or both, and whether the learning is in a formal setting or on the job, we are a learning community, and will find every opportunity and leverage every resource we can, to help nurture a deep culture of learning! 💡🚀 🌟 This reel doesn’t begin to convey all of the activities that took place across the globe: from activating a very important initiative in our Distributed Leader Groups in Australia, to Healthy Sleeping Habits + Situational Leadership in EMEA to bringing back the always impactful Lunch with a Leader—this time featuring our Chief Growth and Experience Officer Kara Trousdale who spoke to our North American Region colleagues about burnout and balance in the workplace—to super intentional bite-sized learning sessions tailored to where we are today as a business, it was an inaugural Learning at Work Week for the books!

Amipro and Metagenics are proud to announce that an agreement has been reached for the acquisition by Metagenics, llc. of 100% of the shares of Amipro Advanced Development Products.  Amipro, headquartered in Johannesburg, has been the exclusive distributor of Metagenics products in South Africa for many years. This long-standing and excellent relationship has built Amipro into a highly valued partner for thousands of Healthcare Practitioners in South Africa, based on the products and Nutritional concepts of Metagenics.  Metagenics welcomes 31 Amipro employees in South Africa to the global team of 1300 as part of the aquisition.  Stijn Oste, Regional Vice President EMEA, explains: “For Metagenics, this acquisition is part of the strategy to have a direct presence in all major EMEA countries, and to provide effective micronutrition for health professionals to help people live healthier, happier lives worldwide”.  Metagenics will continue to support and expand the activities of Amipro. Amipro has a strong and well-respected reputation in the South African market, which is a perfect basis for further growth and development. There will be no changes for the customers. All services and products for the prescribers and patients will remain the same, and the team of Nutritional advisors and customer support will remain fully operational.

Our teams across the globe recently participated in a variety of initiatives to demonstrate our commitment to sustainability, as part of World Environment Day. 🌱 For our teams in Asia, EMEA, and ANZ it was taking part in local clean-up days, with team members rolling up their sleeves to clean up litter and make a tangible difference in the areas we call home. Our team in Asia team also took on the UN's Campaign for Individual Action, with team members focusing on the ten impactful actions (from reducing waste to conserving energy) that can make a difference in our everyday lives. Our NAM team went all out, dedicating the entire week to acknowledgement of the day. Staff shared the personal eco-friendly practices they take part in to help care for our planet. Participants had the chance to win a swag bag filled with One Tree Planted branded goodies (which we looove!), and had a tree planted in their name, sponsored by Metagenics'. These collective actions across our global teams underscore our commitment to the environment, and, as a B Corp, we’ll continue to come together and take meaningful steps to protect our planet. Thanks to everyone that took time out (many on their weekends) to take part in these initiatives. Today we celebrate Sustainability Day. A day dedicated to teaching people the importance of caring for the environment and the steps to do it. As a globally certified B Corp we've had to take some big steps to reduce our ecological footprint, from our packing materials and recycling across all of our facilities, to initiatives to save water and decrease energy. All with verified results. Sustainability isn’t just a checkbox for us - it unlocks another level. It translates to us maintaining environmentally responsible practices over the long haul. A goal we intend on keeping, by constantly reviewing our results and making improvements. It was a pleasure hosting our annual gratitude lunch for team members in our Gig Harbor, WA location. Our local leadership team stepped up to the plate to serve a delicious Thanksgiving-inspired meal, yummy desserts, and refreshing drinks to many of our frontline employees over three different shifts and it truly is one of the best experiences to witness and be a part of. This marks the 5th year since we started the Gratitude Lunch, held in the weeks leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday, where our leaders serve the food and drinks, and take time out to engage and connect with our employees. It's one we look forward to each year. Thank you to our team in Gig Harbor for your endless commitment and hard work to helping us bring our mission of helping people live happier, healthier lives to life.
