At Morgan safety is at the heart of what we do, which is why we’re proud to announce that our Thermal team have been recognised for safety excellence. At the Refractories Annual Spring Meeting, the team won the coveted 2021 TRI Chairman’s Safety Award, awarded based on an anonymous survey of safety incidents per hours worked. We’re proud of our people for their efforts in thinking and staying safe.

On 1 July our Sao Paulo site marked an amazing 365 days with no lost time accidents! This year of safer working was made possible by the dedication of the team to thinking and working safely, together. We loved seeing them marking this day, continuing their focus to build a safer Morgan for everyone! #ZeroHarm #thinkSAFE

Well equipped first aid kits on site are the foundation of keeping our people safe. There is probably nothing worse than opening a first aid kit and discovering that key items are missing. Whilst all first kits across Morgan are checked on a regular basis by our teams, at our Kempten, Germany site, the team have implemented an excellent way to address the potential of missing items outside the regular review....adding a seal to each kit. If the seal is broken, the first aid kit has been used and must be checked. If the seal is unbroken, no detailed inspection is needed. With this simple measure the team has ensured that they are well prepared for medical scenarios which might impact their people.

When the Morgan brothers found high efficiency US manufactured crucibles, they set their sights on securing a license to sell American-built crucibles in the UK. Soon the brothers began manufacturing crucibles, not only for England’s Royal Mint but also for mints in India, France and Germany too! We're proud of our history, why not be a part of our future?
