Our Thermal business has an ambitious strategy for the future, which requires outstanding planning and delivery capability. To support this strategy, they are in the process of developing and growing their project management competence, including providing our global and local teams with the skills and knowledge required to deliver key projects. Over the last 18 months, we are delighted to have put a number of people through Project Management Professional Certification training, using an online learning platform. We are delighted to share that Francesca, from our European Product Management group, has passed her PMI exam and achieved PMP certification! Over the coming months we hope to see more of our people becoming qualified. Francesca commented “In 2020 I joined the Thermal Project Management (PMP) Training cohort. After the course I decided to leverage [my] new skills and obtain the certification. With this achievement I wanted to thank my company and my colleagues for the trust placed in me and I wanted to properly finalise the career development."

In March this year, we set stretching targets to become a more sustainable business. To support these goals, we are making investments in our manufacturing processes and technology to reduce the environmental impact of our business. We are also investing in new materials and process technologies that improve the performance of our products, to deliver greater environmental and safety benefits to our customers. Not only are they getting all of their employees trained and more involved in their safety approach, they are also sharing their safety messaging with their local community. Commissioning a thinkSAFE message, this billboard is on a major road in the town and is used by many of the local residents. What a fantastic way to keep safety messaging front of mind in the local community!
