CRNAs are an essential part of our healthcare team and provide vital care to patients before, during, and after surgery. CHART Institute is a federally listed Patient Safety Organization (PSO) that provides a secure environment for analyzing events to improve patient safety. Mount Nittany Health is pleased to announce the birth of Solomon Allison, the first baby born at Mount Nittany Medical Center in 2023. Solomon was born to proud parents Dennis and Lashae Allison from Huntington, Pa., on the morning of January 1, 2023. Solomon weighs 7 lbs. 6 oz and is 19 inches in length. Congratulations to the Allison family, we are so happy to be part of this joyous moment.

Employee Spotlight: Congratulations to Charles “Charlie” Goe, RN, who was honored with a DAISY Award for his compassionate care of a critically ill patient. The DAISY Award is a national program with over 5,000 participating healthcare facilities. A small number of Mount Nittany Health’s 225+ physician group and system leaders celebrated the groundbreaking of the new, state-of-the-art 126,000 square foot Outpatient Center in Toftrees West yesterday. The Outpatient Center will provide convenient access to a range of medical, surgical, diagnostic and treatment services in a single location. It will be home to more than 60 physicians and providers and over 150 staff. The new Outpatient Center, which builds on Mount Nittany Health’s commitment to its mission of ‘Healthier people, stronger community," is expected to open in Spring 2024.

Mount Nittany Health is pleased to announce the development of a new 10-floor, 168-room addition to the Mount Nittany Medical Center. This state-of-the-art facility will deliver an advanced patient-centered experience by providing private rooms for all patients. The new patient tower will also serve an expanding number of Mount Nittany Health providers. Occupancy is expected in December 2026.
