We are excited to share that our Community Volunteer Network celebrated 50 years of the Foster Grandparent Program in Southern Oregon, honoring decades of older adults supporting children in our region. 💛📚 With 47 Foster Grandparents, 45 partner sites, and three counties served, the program marked a year of remarkable service: 🌟 34,305 volunteer hours 🌟 516 elementary students supported 🌟 189 early learners nurtured The event highlighted volunteers’ incredible contributions, including Legacy Awards, tributes to long-standing volunteers who have passed, and a performance by the South Medford High School Choir. State Senator Jeff Golden also attended to recognize the lasting impact of this program. Thank you to all who make this work possible—here’s to continuing the Foster Grandparent Program’s legacy for generations to come! #FosterGrandparents #CommunityImpact #SouthernOregon
