Our very own Shaida Samimi had a great opportunity to teach financial literacy to individuals from Russia, Ukraine and Afghanistan at the World Relief offices in the Sacramento area in early July. This is the start of an ongoing program Shaida will be conducting every 6-8 weeks.

Our six finalists in the first-ever Patelco Chili Cook-off brought their best today at HQ in Pleasanton for the final round. In the end, it was the team of Tammy Johnson, Nora Elatrache and Erin Moreci taking home first place and going on to represent us at the 6th annual Credit Union Chili Challenge in San Diego. Congratulations and thank you to all involved!
Twenty teams recently competed in the first round of our first-ever Patelco Chili Cook-off. Six finalists were chosen to compete later this month for our championship and a spot in the 6th annual Credit Union Chili Challenge in San Diego in August. Thank you to all our master chili chefs!
Our Redwood City team had a great time being a part of the Children's Business Fair sponsored by Casa Circulo Cultural on Saturday, June 2. The event, held at the Redwood City Library, allowed kids aged 7-17 to develop a brand, product or service and open it for business during the day.
Members of our leadership team, including President/CEO Erin Mendez, took part in the Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley #WomenBuild event on Friday, May 18. Our leaders enjoyed helping to empower families and strengthen the community at the Central Commons project in Fremont.
A group of more than 20 team members participated in the Habitat for Humanity build on Thursday, May 10 in Fremont. When complete, the Central Commons development will provide affordable homes to 30 families in the community. Our team had a great day helping out on the project!
