We at Pediatrix® are excited to announce the launch of our new Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Employee Council! In forming this group, we sought to select individuals with the strongest demonstrated expertise and passion. It was also important that this group reflect a variety of both visible and invisible dimensions of diversity and closely mirror the demographics of our broader Pediatrix® employee base. A wide breadth of geographies, departments and levels are represented to ensure we have diversity of thought and both clinical and non-clinical expertise. At Pediatrix, establishing the DEI Council is a key component of building the infrastructure necessary to ensure the long-term success of our DEI efforts. We look forward to future communications on the next step in our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Journey!

Embracing an inclusive and diverse workplace is at the heart of what we do at Pediatrix®. Juneteenth holds immense significance as a day commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and the ongoing pursuit of freedom and equality. We at Pediatrix® reaffirm our commitment to acknowledge the struggles, triumphs, and contributions of the Black community throughout history by recognizing Juneteenth as a company holiday. It is an opportunity for our team to reflect, learn, and engage in meaningful conversations about racial justice and equality. On Monday and every day, we encourage everyone to educate themselves, honor the past, and amplify the voices that deserve to be heard. Together, let's strive to create a world where all individuals are treated with dignity, respect, and fairness.

Nobody loves your children like you. Nobody takes care of their health like Pediatrix®. Our physician-led organization partners with hospitals, health systems and health care facilities to offer clinical services spanning the women’s and children’s continuum of care. Together with our growing network of office-based specialists, we make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families. Learn more about Pediatrix® from our CEO, Jim Swift, M.D., FAAP!
Why Partner with Pediatrix®?
We recently announced our affiliated practices will adopt the Pediatrix® Medical Group brand nationwide, reflecting the group’s role as the nation’s leading provider of highly specialized health care for women, babies and children. The Pediatrix name honors our more than 40-year legacy of a patient-centered, physician-led organization, with a mission to “Take great care of the patient, every day and in every way™.” “This is an exciting time in our company’s trajectory,” said Mark Ordan, chief executive officer. “Shifting our practices to a unified Pediatrix brand enables us to promote collectively the wide spectrum of talented physicians and other clinicians who millions of the most vulnerable patients – high-risk expectant mothers, premature and critically ill newborns and sick children – have and continue to rely on for specialized care. This brand evolution reflects our commitment to providing the highest quality services across the full women’s and children’s continuum of care, which now includes a growing line of pediatric primary and urgent care.”

#HeartMonth is an especially appropriate time to celebrate the innovative and highly specialized work our clinicians do to take great care of the patient, every day and in every way 💚💙. New on the blog, almost five-year-old Piper Small is back to swimming, T-ball, gymnastics, karate, soccer (and more!) after undergoing a minimally invasive alternative to open-heart surgery at our Pediatric Cardiology Associates Tampa Bay. “I had worried since the day she was born that she’d need open-heart surgery, so I was devastated when my husband called to tell me the news,” said mom Brooke Small. "I did not want my child to be cut open.” “We wouldn’t have known about this procedure if we hadn’t been seeing Dr. Gonzalez and Dr. Ringewald. It’s a win when any child doesn’t have to have invasive surgery."
