Enjoy our look back at 2021! 2021 has been a remarkable year for Perficient – filled with incredible growth and success made possible by our clients, our communities, our partners, and our people. We’re driving deeper connections and creating amazing experiences on a global scale, while collectively striving to make the communities in which we live and work a better place.
Perficient Gives is our corporate giving program that does much more than simply offering money to those in need. We work closely with community leaders to identify causes and opportunities to truly make a difference, as the Light Up Glennon event. In addition to donating $10,000 to the SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, colleagues volunteered their own time to spread some holiday joy to the children in the hospital by shining flashlights, singing carols, and even enjoying some hot chocolate. We have the kindest colleagues at Perficient and providing chances like this to meaningfully engage with the community is what our Perficient Giving ERG is all about.
We are proud to announce that Perficient has once again been named a 2021 Top Workplace in Michigan by The Detroit Free Press. It is an honor to be recognized as a Top Workplace. We believe our culture and dedicated colleagues make Perficient the leading digital consultancy. This is the third year in a row that Perficient has been recognized by The Detroit Free Press with additional awards in both 2019 and 2020.
We want to tell the stories of our people who make our dynamic organization what it is today. Mark Shen, a lead technical consultant in our Southern California location, is a key example of a colleague who embodies our core values of innovation, clients, and collaboration. Read below to learn more.
Powerful. Agile. Fierce. Meet Minotaur - the BattleBots competitor from the Brazilian-based fighting robot builder team RioBotz Robotics Team - and Perficient's newest partner! We can’t wait to see Minotaur take on the competition in the popular robot fighting competition on Discovery Channel. Learn more about our latest partnership.
We are thrilled to announce that for the very first time, Perficient’s Houston office has been named a 2021 Top Workplace by the Houston Chronicle! This win adds to the growing list of awards won by Perficient offices around the country and is proof of the incredible culture and collaborative environment that our Houston team fosters every day.
We now live in a world where we can collaborate with our colleagues from virtually anywhere. Thanks to remote work in these unprecedented times, employees can work safely from their own home office. Being said, remote work can oftentimes be a learning curve for many individuals who are beginning their careers virtually. Adapting to new technologies and software, learning how to develop professional relationships virtually, and finding ways to feel connected to your company while working from your home office are just a few aspects of the WFH learning curve.
Prior to beginning development, you should share the big picture with the project team. You can review periodically to help keep it in mind throughout the product’s lifecycle. Share your product vision and goals so that the team knows what it is that the product is intended to achieve. Share personas and user flows, so the team knows who their users are and how they are intended to use the system.
At Perficient, our people are at the heart of what we do. We love what we do and where we work, contributing to our collaborative, open, and friendly culture. Our culture is one of the main reasons Perficient continues to be recognized as a “Top Workplace” in key markets across the U.S.
