Saturday, April 1 was a great day for a Great Race! Nature Made®, the #1 pharmacist recommended vitamin and supplement brand, was the title sponsor of the Great Race’s 5K this past Saturday in Agoura Hills, California. All 4,000 runners received one bottle of Nature Made® vitamins and one bottle of Nature Made® Wellblends™ in their race bags, in addition to the vitamins, supplements and other swag that were given out at our Pharmavite and Nature Made race expo booths. More than 70 Pharmavite employees, plus their families and friends, participated in the race, with employees sporting “Nature Made yellow” jerseys. The Great Race is aligned with our purpose of bringing the gift of health to life, and is committed to building a stronger and healthier community. We’re pleased to introduce our new Site Director for our San Fernando facility, Aylin Asatourians! As Site Director, Aylin will oversee all operations in San Fernando, home of our tablet and softgel manufacturing. Aylin brings more than 23 years of experience as a leader of organizations, including Kindeva Drug Delivery, Chiron/Bayer Diagnostics, GenMark Diagnostics Labs and Sakura Fintek, in Operations, Quality Control/Quality Systems, Supply Chain and Product Transfer. Aylin earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from San Francisco State University, is certified in project management through Anthony Mason Associates, and is fluent in Armenian and Farsi.
Ten years ago today, our Opelika, AL facility opened! Opelika is currently the manufacturing hub for all our gummy vitamins for Nature Made®, in addition to manufacturing tablets and soft gels, and its opening brought the vitamin and supplement (VMS) industry to the state of Alabama in 2013. In addition to bringing a new industry to the state, it set a new standard for manufacturing excellence in VMS as the 300,000 square foot facility is designed to produce the highest-quality products, provide a safe, comfortable, fully air-conditioned work environment, and is LEED certified. In our ten years in production, we’ve nearly doubled our employee base – starting with 239 employees to now employing more than 500 Alabamians and neighboring Georgians.
