Little did April Chester, RD, CDCES, know more than 3 decades ago that participating in a wedding in Arizona would change her career trajectory! She was working as a pediatric dietitian in Atlanta at the time. While visiting Arizona for a wedding, she set up an interview for an open position at Phoenix Children’s. She was offered the job and moved to the Valley two weeks later. She has since spent almost 33+ years of her 40-year career working as part of the pediatric endocrinology team at Phoenix Children’s. “I help decrease the stress for families of children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I can provide unique insight because of my many years of experience.” April, thank you for your unwavering dedication to our patient families and endocrinology team!
