Throughout February, Phoenix Children’s Hospital – Thomas Campus is glowing red in honor of National Heart Month. We’re also highlighting campus-wide expansion projects, which are designed to help us meet the increasing healthcare needs of Arizona’s fast-growing pediatric population. With several projects in the works, we’re adding a total of 212,000 sq. ft. of clinical space, inpatient beds and clinical exam rooms.

Congratulations to Adrian Ruiz, RN, who was recently presented with an award from the DAISY Foundation for providing extraordinary, compassionate care to patient families. One patient family said, “Adrian made us feel comfortable caring for our son and answered our many questions. If he didn’t have an answer, he found the right person to get us answers. Adrian deserves to be recognized for his outstanding skills, communication and collaboration with doctors.” We couldn’t agree more.

Phoenix Children’s has partnered with Shields Health Solutions to develop a new specialty pharmacy program. This collaboration will provide patients of our cystic fibrosis program easier access to specialized pharmacy services. The program is designed to lower costs, expand treatment options, enhance medication management, and improve overall health.

The last structural beam has been placed at the future site of Phoenix Children's Hospital — Arrowhead Campus. Before reaching its final destination, this beam stopped by our Thomas Campus where staff members had the opportunity to sign it and become a forever part of this future West Valley facility. We can’t wait for the grand opening of our future 3-story hospital and adjacent medical office building so we can further support families in the West Valley with top-notch pediatric care.
