It didn’t take long for life to change. Quarantines. Stay-at-home orders. Routines, education and livelihoods impacted. And at Regions Bank, it didn’t take long for our teams, and our community partners, to find creative ways to support others during this unique time. Here are just a few recent examples of the work they’re doing. And we’ve also included a way that you can lend your support while safely remaining at home.
For the 6th year in a row, Regions Bank has been recognized as an exceptional workplace by Gallup! We are proud of our culture and the way in which we engage our employees.
For the second straight year, Barron’s weekly finance magazine named Regions one of the 100 Most Sustainable Companies in America. Regions ranks 56th overall on the latest list, up from 75th a year before. Further, Regions is first among listed retail banks this time around, up from the seventh ranked bank last year.
Regions earned a perfect score of 100% on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s annual Corporate Equality Index (CEI), which measures and benchmarks LGBTQ workplace equality. This external recognition confirms our efforts to elevate our performance by fostering an inclusive culture where all associates can succeed.
Each year, in the weeks ahead of Veterans Day, Regions associates at several corporate facilities in Birmingham and Hoover purchase custom-designed T-shirts paying tribute to veterans. They wear the shirts to work on the Friday before Veterans Day – and proceeds from shirt sales are then given to Lakeshore Foundation.
“In just over two years, Hope took a newly created position and quickly catalyzed positive change that is making life better and creating shared value for all of our stakeholders,” said John Turner, Regions President and CEO.
Regions was recently Great Place to Work-Certified™, and results show 83% of associates rate Regions a great place to work. This certification is another example of external recognition of our culture, in addition to the Gallup Great Workplace Awards we have received for the past five years.
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new Military Recruiting program! B.R.A.V.E. stands for Building Regions Associate Veterans Experience and this new program is our way of supporting transitioning military veterans as they build a successful civilian career.
"Our conversation series is taking a very intentional approach toward ensuring that we’re listening to voices from across demographic groups, and that includes a recent conversation with white male colleagues, who I also see as an important piece of our diversity and inclusion puzzle." - Clara Green, Head of Diversity & Inclusion
