Classes begin this week for the first Respiratory Therapy training program in northern Nevada! This program is offered through a partnership between Renown Health and Great Basin College. Partially funded by The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust, this groundbreaking program is designed to train new healthcare professionals to meet the growing demands of Nevada’s diverse and expanding population. Our first cohort of five motivated students will earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in Cardio-Respiratory Care Science at the end of the accelerated 18-month program.

Renown's Department of Surgery has successfully launched the newest and most advanced robotic surgical platform: the Intuitive Da Vinci 5. The first set of surgical procedures using this system were performed this week! The Da Vinci 5 is the first system of its kind in northern Nevada and northern California.
