What a catch! Our Tampa team was proud to support and participate in CREW Tampa Bay's 27th Annual Go Fish tournament, joining more than 300 attendees and 180 companies. CREW Tampa Bay works to transform the commercial real estate industry by promoting and empowering women through professional relationships, leadership opportunities, and the continued pursuit of diversity, equity, and inclusion. CREW Tampa Bay also supports a scholarship endowment fund through the University of South Florida’s Women in Leadership & Philanthropy program. Robins & Morton has contributed more than $110,000 to this fund, which is used to provide annual scholarships to students at USF studying for a career in commercial real estate. Thank you to our team members for supporting this great cause! #GivingWithPurpose

Our Raleigh team welcomed 40 veterans from VETS2INDUSTRY to hear from our veteran team members about the overall experience Robins & Morton provides to veterans. Whether it's working as a field team member, project manager, preconstruction, and more, our team was excited to share their knowledge with those who visited. We recognize that the experience and skills of veterans can transfer to construction management, and we provide opportunities such as our Veterans Network and Veterans Mentorship Program to assist those who have served with the transition to civilian life. Congratulations to our 17 graduates who were recently recognized for completing our mentorship programs, which emphasize the important role that mentors play in helping our team members achieve their potential as future leaders. Sixteen participants completed the Rocky McMichen Field Leadership Program, in which they gained managerial skills and learn more about construction management outside of their specific trade. Meanwhile, we had one participant complete the Barbara Wilson Mentorship Program, which creates the opportunity for our support team members to transition into an entry-level operations role and focuses on providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities that every team member must have to be an effective leader within our organization. We were thrilled to have Barbara serve as the keynote speaker and share her experiences with our team. We look forward to seeing these graduates use this accomplishment to contribute to their individual success and the future of Robins & Morton.

This summer, we’re welcoming 64 co-ops and interns — our largest cohort ever. These students, coming from 21 schools, will work on 33 of our jobsites and in three offices across nine states. Through experiential, immersive learning, this class will gain experience in various roles ranging from preconstruction to marketing. Established more than 50 years ago, Robins & Morton's co-op and internship program supports the next generation of builders who are essential to the future of the construction industry. We can't wait to watch this class of interns and co-ops grow and learn with our team throughout the summer. #BuildingForward

Our Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital team members were excited to inspire the next generation of builders. We visited Hurt Park Elementary School in Roanoke, Virginia, for Career Day, where we displayed a 3D-printed model of our Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital Crystal Spring Tower project. Students also received yellow hard hats and our customized project coloring book. We love working to foster an early interest in our industry!

Our Director of Scheduling Services Chris McCall had the opportunity to teach construction engineering and management students at the University of Tennessee. During a guest lecture, Chris provided insight on how to take a conceptual design and build a schedule based on limited information. We hope these students gained some valuable knowledge, and we look forward to seeing what they accomplish in our industry.
