We recently just got back from our holiday break. During the holidays, SCS employees are fortunate to have the week off between Christmas and New Year's Day. We know the holidays can be a busy time for most. This allows SCS employees to spend quality time with their friends and family. We are all recharged and ready to start the new year! #LifeAtSCS
Much of the work done by SCS is made possible by the various training and development efforts we’ve had in place to train our employees and our contractors. Without adequate training, we wouldn’t have the skilled auditor population that makes up much of our workforce. In our effort to continue to prioritize learning with SCS, we are excited to launch our partnership with the Learning Management System (LMS), Docebo Learn. Our LMS Platform; the SCS Learning Hub will be offering a wide variety of courses for employee professional development, manager development trainings, new employee onboarding resources, auditor trainings, and external for-sale trainings. We’re looking forward to our new SCS Learning Hub and all the trainings we will be sharing with our employees, contractors, clients, and partners. For anyone outside of the company who is interested in checking out our for-sale trainings, check out our website.
For the month of September we are introducing the SCS Fitness Challenge, a company-wide activity program designed to encourage friendly competition to help reach fitness goals. All SCS employees are welcome to participate individually or together on a team. During our 6 week challenge, participants can win weekly rewards and the grand prize for the team with the highest activity time. Not only will this help strengthen workplace connection, physical activity has also been shown to reduce stress and improve overall health! We're stepping up to the challenge and having fun with our peers! #LifeAtSCS
As part of the continued DEI efforts here at SCS, we have decided to engage with a third-party DEI consulting firm, people3, Inc. As our company navigates the complexities of DEI work, we felt it was important to consult with subject-matter experts. Moving forward, people3 will work directly with the soon-to-be-formed DEI Committee, Human Resources, and other key partners at SCS. People3 is a diversity and inclusion consulting firm based in Nashville, TN that works with global and national clients. They provide research and consulting strategy for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, as well as educational workshops on diversity and inclusion topics. We are excited and looking forward to our partnership with People3! https://people3.co/
Did you know that May is Mental Health Awareness Month? SCS recognized the importance of employees prioritizing their mental health by announcing a new paid time off benefit. We all have our own timing and needs when it comes to taking care of ourselves, especially related to stress relief and managing burnout. Our Mental Health paid time off benefit is there for employees to use when they need a quick break to recharge, no questions asked. We also offered two webinars in May to all SCSers, "The Good Side of Stress" & "Caring for Your Mental Health". Who knew there was a good side to stress?! #LifeAtSCS
