May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month—a time to celebrate the vibrant cultures, histories, and contributions of AAPI communities. At Sage, we’re proud to reflect that diversity across our organization. 560 associates—8.9% of our workforce—identify as Asian American or Pacific Islander, each bringing unique perspective, creativity, and strength to our culture. From the islands of the Pacific to the mountains of South and East Asia, AAPI stories continue to shape our industry—and our Sage family. You belong here—every story, every voice, every day.
Today, we had the absolute joy of hosting students from Junior Achievement’s Job Shadow program! These bright minds from the Venture Academy of Leadership and Entrepreneurship (VALE) got a behind-the-scenes look at four of our independent hotels in Downtown Denver—and an inspiring conversation with our founder Walter Isenberg, who shared how he and co-founder Zack Neumeyer built Sage from the ground up. We talked entrepreneurship, career paths, and why we chose hospitality—and loved every moment of sharing our spaces, our stories, and what makes this work so meaningful.
As March—Women’s History Month—draws to a close, we take time to recognize and celebrate the women who work each day to enrich the lives of those around them. With 54% of our managers and above identifying as women, and 52.7% of all promotions in the last year earned by women, we are proud to be an organization where women lead with creativity, passion, and strength. Women also represent 52.3% of our total workforce, shaping our teams, elevating hospitality, and making a lasting impact across our portfolio. Our commitment to fostering the growth and success of women in our company was recognized this year as Sage was named one of Newsweek’s Greatest Workplaces for Women in 2025—a reflection of the incredible women across our company who make Sage a place where all can thrive. Here’s to the women of Sage—your leadership, talent, and dedication make all the difference. You belong here.
Last month, we came together in Chicago with leaders from across our organization to learn, connect and celebrate at the Sage Leadership Festival. It was a wonderful time and we can't wait for next year!
