Seaboard Marine is proud to partner with Samaritan’s Feet, a U.S.-based international charity, in donating over 4,000 pairs of shoes to the Barbados community through the Save Our Soles Charitable Trust. These shoes will help individuals with diabetes who face foot challenges and lack access to proper orthopedic footwear. We were also privileged to hear from Dr. Manny Ohonme, PhD – Co-founder, CEO, and President of Samaritan’s Feet – as he spoke at the event, inspiring us all with his vision and commitment. We're proud to play a part in this meaningful initiative to improve lives.

With a cargo capacity of 3,500 TEUs and over 1,000 onboard refrigerated container plugs, the dual-fuel Seaboard Verde prioritizes the transportation of perishable cargo with efficiency and reliability. Seaboard Marine proudly announces the arrival of a new liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered container and refrigerated cargo vessel, the Seaboard Voyager. With a capacity of 3,500 TEU, including over 1,000 onboard refrigerated container plugs, the Seaboard Voyager is the first in Seaboard Marine’s new V-Class fleet. The company also revealed plans for seven additional dual LNG ships scheduled for delivery over the next fifteen months. The Seaboard Voyager sets a new standard for environmental responsibility by utilizing LNG, a cleaner fuel that significantly reduces emissions and minimizes the company’s carbon footprint. Seaboard Marine's New LNG Powered Vessel, Seaboard Voyager, Joins the Fleet - Seaboard Marine
Seaboard Marine, a leading marine transportation company, continues its commitment to sustainability by expanding its renewable energy projects to its locations in Honduras. Recently, the company installed 42 solar panels and three inverters at its La Fraternidad yard and another set of 42 solar panels at its Medina yard, achieving a combined capacity of 1,200 kWp. These installations mark significant steps in Seaboard Marine’s ongoing efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and improve energy efficiency across its locations. The solar panels at La Fraternidad cover a total area of 1,070 sq ft, saving an estimated 38% in energy costs. At Medina, the panels cover 713 sq ft, generating 18,840 kWh annually and saving an estimated 29% in annual energy costs. Moreover, the main container yard in San Pedro Sula will soon complete the installation of 72 solar panels, resulting in renewable power at all three main container yards in Honduras. Seaboard Marine’s journey towards renewable energy began in 2017 with the installation of solar panels generating 182.6 kWp in the Dominican Republic. This initiative was followed by a major solar project in Costa Rica in 2023, which involved installing panels covering 8,611 sq ft, generating 98.6 kWp of energy, and preventing nearly 5.5 tons of CO2 emissions annually. In 2024, the company completed a solar installation in Villa Nueva, Guatemala, continuing to advance its renewable energy initiatives.
