Throughout October, Snap Finance came together to support those impacted by breast cancer. With more than 150 team members actively participating from various offices and remote locations, we achieved a remarkable feat by walking and running a combined distance of over 500 miles to raise awareness. Employees had the opportunity to answer structured questions (yes/no, true/false, 110 scale, multiple-choice) on specific workplace topics about a combination of factors that contribute to happiness at work (e.g., positive environment, fair pay, great benefits, excitement about work and co-workers, clear company goals and investment in them, pride in company). Each answer is given a numerical score and compared to companies of similar size. The final data set was compiled from over 20 million ratings across 70,000 companies. What an unforgettable experience! Our amazing team at Snap Finance traveled from all over the globe to Jaco, Costa Rica. With a shared purpose to do good, we set out to build homes for three families in partnership with TECHO, a non-profit organization in Latin America and the Caribbean that creates housing, water, and community infrastructure solutions to help end poverty. Our goal was not just to build houses, but homes where families can grow and thrive. With each swing of the hammer, every moment of sweat, and tremendous effort, we were brought closer together as a team and a community. This humbling experience only reinforced our team’s commitment to making a positive impact. Say hello to our incredible Senior Vice President of Product, Michael Minor. Michael has been at Snap for a year and a half and is the driving force behind our product innovation and strategy. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Angelo State University and an MBA at The University of Texas at Austin. Starting out as a data analyst, he utilized his programming and analytical skillset in early roles at Sabre Holdings and moved into several leadership positions before jumping into the financial space with Elevate Credit. His leadership style fosters growth and allows for failure as an important part of learning and development, both personal and professional. Michael is a strategic leader who plays a pivotal role in shaping Snap’s products and ensuring that we’re meeting our customers’ needs. We’re so thankful to have him at Snap!
