We are very excited to partner with a company like Endesa - Spain’s largest electric company - which shares our commitment and drive to power a bright future for all! Sonnedix signed a 12-year renewable energy power purchase agreement (PPA) for a 77MW solar PV portfolio acquired in July 2021, comprised of five solar plants in Valladolid, Castilla y León province of Spain. The portfolio is estimated to produce a total volume of 156GWh of renewable energy per year, equivalent to powering over 50,000 homes, and capable of avoiding more than 30,000 tons of CO2. Sonnedix and Endesa sign a 12-year PPA for 77MW portfolio in Spain
Sonnedix announced in February that it had reached the commercial operating date for its first solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Poland: Sonnedix Ciechanowiec. The plant is expected to generate 2320MhW of clean electricity during its first year of operation and is located in Podlaskie voivodeship. Read more about this announcement below.
Sonnedix Poland First Solar PV Project Starts Commercial Operation
Sonnedix announced it had secured its first power purchase agreement (PPA) in Colorado with Guzman Energy for its 110 MW Sonnedix Solar Fountain project. Sonnedix will develop, build, operate, and maintain the solar facility as the project sponsor. As an off-taker, Guzman Energy will purchase 100% of the power generated by Sonnedix Solar Fountain for its power portfolio, which is used to serve current and future Guzman Energy wholesale customer power loads. Our Sonnedix USA team recently gathered 150 lbs (68kg) of trash, including bottle caps, food wrappers, and aluminum cans - all items harmful to one of Florida’s most valuable coastal resources: mangroves. Our volunteers joined forces with Volunteer Clean Up, an environmental conservation organization, to give back to the community to raise awareness about marine debris and educate us on how to reduce the use of plastics. Not only did the team clean the area, but essentially, they were helping the survival of many plant and animal species.

Sonnedix’s Senior Advisor, Federico de la Hoz García, held a meeting in our Madrid office with the team to discuss the effects of the latest European regulatory changes on the electricity and gas markets. The measures of the Spanish Energy Security Plan and the impetus for the massive expansion of renewable energy projects to improve of energy prices in the country were also discussed. Our One Team in Poland gathered for their first-ever team building activity by travelling to Kielce, located in the center of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains. 21 team members kicked-off their two-day trip with an adrenaline rush of zip lining, followed by a scavenger-hunt-like game around the city's old town, and wrapped up their first day with a dinner by the campfire. For the second day, they climbed the Lysa Gora hill (614 meters above sea level), visited the Paradise Cave, and toured the Castle in Chęciny, a royal castle from the 13th and 14th centuries. We hope everyone enjoyed their adventure and break from the office!
