Sonnedix reached a remarkable milestone in October: We moved into the wind space after our latest acquisition in Chile, which marked the path for the company’s expansion and evolution to become a key player in the energy transition by transitioning from an Independent Power Producer (IPP) to a Renewable Energy Producer (REP). With over a decade-long trajectory of Sustainable Growth, we have a deep-rooted focus on developing, building, and operating renewable energy projects with a focus on providing green and affordable electricity to our customers worldwide.

In early November, a group of 45 students from the Maria Inmaculada School in Madrid visited our Sonnedix Noblejas PV plant as part of their Sustainability lesson. Throughout the morning, the students studied firsthand the general process of operating a Solar PV as well as understanding how the production of green electricity is beneficial to the environment. They also learned about the roles of Asset Management and Operations And Maintenance within Sonnedix. They wrapped up their day by creating their own comic book based on everything they learned throughout the day about renewables. Our team members in France gathered at the historic vineyard Château Suduiraut, near Bordeaux in the Southwest of France, to carry out a two-day seminar and spend time together outdoors - an opportunity that had not happened in almost three years. The seminar paved the way for our SonnedixFrance office to get to know each other more, including understanding each other's work functions, interacting in team-building activities, and spending quality time together. During the latest visit to Spain, our Senior Leadership Team and Senior Management Team took the opportunity to meet and discuss the challenges faced this year and share perspectives on how we can improve our Owners Mentality as we look forward to 2023. Luis Matheus, our VP of Development from our Sonnedix USA team, was present among other experts, to discuss renewable energy and land use with county commissioners and planners from southeastern Colorado. It was an opportunity for our team to share their expertise on the impacts of renewable energy, including development, construction, operation, and decommissioning, as well as provide insights on how to best handle the permitting process, and ultimately, how their communities can benefit from the development of renewable resources in the area.
