#SonyPics is thrilled to have partnered with the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge for their launch of the first-ever disability loop group, hosted on our Culver City studio lot. A loop group records audio for programming during post-production, providing background noise and audio clips to be utilized in films, TV shows, video games, and commercials.

Moderated by Will Gluck, director of Columbia Pictures’ hit romantic comedy Anyone But You, Tom discussed the history of Columbia Pictures, its central role at the studio, and what it’s like creating some of the film industry’s biggest theatrical releases.

Kenichiro Yoshida (Chairman and CEO, Sony Group Corporation) took the stage at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) for Sony’s annual press conference, sharing how Sony is expanding the scope of entertainment through technology. Katherine Pope (President, Sony Pictures Television Studios) also joined to discuss game TV and film adaptations, including The Last of Us and the upcoming God of War series. #SonyPics also announced Torchlight, a new groundbreaking advanced visualization facility at our studio lot in Culver City, which will allow filmmakers to create digital scenes prior to principal photography in a real-time, hands-on virtual environment. Sony Interactive Entertainment recently launched the Sony Pictures Core app on PS5 and PS4 consoles! The app gives PlayStation Plus users benefits, allowing them to stream movies with a library of nearly 2,000 #SonyPics films to rent or buy, and more surprises. At launch, that includes Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Uncharted, No Hard Feelings, Bullet Train, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
