We'd like to introduce you to Raleigh Operations Manager Kara Baldy. A recent addition to the Raleigh management team, Kara joined Sunstates Security in April 2021. Having 7+ years of law enforcement experience, Kara began her career as a Detention Officer at the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office before joining the Raleigh Police Department (RPD) in 2015. Initially joining RPD as a Police Officer performing patrols, coordinating venue security, and serving as a first responder and community advocate, she was promoted to Master Officer in 2019. In this role she was instrumental in mentoring less experienced officers, mediating escalated civilian situations, performing community outreach, and preparing documentation for submission in court. President Glenn Burrell visited a site in Wilmington, DE. There he and Regional Director Gordon Sebree thanked our team for their dedication to the client and Sunstates. Officer Kyle Furnas has been with Sunstates since February of 2016 and has been a valuable member of our armed team. He has been posted at the same site for three years and has earned the respect of all client’s employees and guests. Joe Blevins has been the Site Supervisor at this site since hired in February of 2020 and has been an integral part of our successes. He covers important meetings with many well-recognized attendees. In addition, he is heavily involved with all site planning and restructuring, with total input on rewriting the SOPM’s. We are grateful to have you both on the Sunstates team! Employee Spotlight: Officer Jaleesa Clark, New Jersey. Jaleesa Clark has been on the Sunstates team since 2017. Since starting her position, Officer Clark has been an officer we can always depend on. Whenever there is a need for additional security at any of our sites in New Jersey, Officer Clark continually helps out whenever possible. In addition to performing at such a high level daily on the job, Officer Clark is raising two young children and she recently graduated Cum Laude at Rutgers University. We'd like to introduce you to San Antonio Operations Manager Jose David Sanchez An experienced security professional and US Navy veteran, Jose joined the Sunstates management team in 2021 as Operations Manager for the San Antonio market. His impressive background includes 12+ years of military operations and eight years of private security sector experience. During his military career, Jose served multiple roles within the Military Police. He gained extensive experience securing assets on the ground, in the water, and in-flight and developing security protocol and performing terrorism and threat analyses. He utilized this knowledge to transition into the private security sector performing Executive Protection services at the corporate headquarters for a major food distributor and a regional fast-food company. In both positions, he managed security and participated in threat assessment, policy development/implementation, and staff training. His extensive knowledge base and demonstrated expertise in security operations, risk mitigation, training, and emergency management position.
