To continue our goal of advancing a more inclusive and diverse industry, Teck Quebrada Blanca recently hosted a “Women Who Inspire” discussion—an open space created to listen, learn and reflect on the impact of female leadership within our organization. The event brought together three distinguished Teck leaders: Angélica Cabrera, General Manager of Carmen de Andacollo; Mariana Abugattás, Country Manager of Teck Peru; and Viviana Torres Luengo, Integrated Operations Manager at Quebrada Blanca. They shared their personal journeys and underscored the importance of developing female talent—not only to expand opportunities for women, but also to strengthen health and safety and sustainability, support organizational growth, and build high‑performing teams. Throughout the conversation, the group explored how women’s leadership brings fresh perspectives to decision‑making, fosters more collaborative and confident teams, and contributes to improved outcomes across the business.
