Cheers to our CMO and best-in-class marketing team for being recognized by Forbes in The 2024 Entrepreneurial CMO 50 list. Lesya's approach to marketing aligns with Boston Beer Company's seventh value, "we collaborate and innovate as coworkers because the status quo sucks." This has enabled her to build an entrepreneurial culture inside the marketing organization and give her team the permission to “continually reach for something new and different.” The Forbes Entrepreneurial CMO 50 list is selected from hundreds of nominees based on qualitative consideration by peers, marketing industry professionals, agency partners, business leaders, executive recruiters, and CMO list alumni.

This week, Michael Spillane was welcomed by the Boston Beer Company as he assumed the role CEO and President. In his first official week, Michael met with teams, embraced our culture, and constructed his vision for the future: "There is something about this place, it's not just a job, it's embracing constant evolution and moving forward with great people, incredible innovators, and the best products out there." Michael spent his college years working part time as a doorman, bar back, bartender, and more, gaining detailed insight into the bev-alc and hospitality industries. As a Boston native, when Jim first introduced Samuel Adams Boston Lager in 1985, Michael recalls feeling an immediate connection to the brand, not just because the beer tasted great, but because of what it meant to the people of Boston. During a career that took Michael all over the world, he is excited to return his home city after eight years serving on our board of directors. Join us in giving Michael a warm welcome !
