Things are heating up in the Northern Hemisphere—and so is the momentum for women in fire and conservation.🔥 We’re proud to spotlight Hannah Boyer, Prairie Recovery Specialist, who recently participated in TNC’s Women in Fire (WIF) program. Reflecting on her experience, Hannah shared: “I had an excellent training experience at my Women in Fire mentor trip to South Carolina where I got to work with my burn boss and had a chance to be a line boss trainee on a moderate-complexity burn in new-to-me timber fuels. I not only had the chance to train and network with fellow TNC folks from other chapters (two of which are now working in our tri-state chapter) but was also able to get ink in my FFT1 task book which will help me better meet the fire needs of our stewardship team here in the Ordway/Glacial Lakes landscape of Central Minnesota.” — © Hannah Boyer Programs like WIF are helping build a stronger, more inclusive future for fire management and conservation. Stay tuned—there’s more to come. 🌱🔥
