Recently, seven of our Health Enthusiasts had the incredible opportunity to take part in an observational trip to the Dominican Republic with our friends at Vitamin Angels, an organization The Vitamin Shoppe has proudly supported for the past 18 years. Visiting two of Vitamin Angels’ program partners, Light A Candle Dominican Republic in La Romana and Batey Relief Alliance Inc in Santo Domingo, our team was able to see the nonprofit’s work up close and in person. Each Health Enthusiast—Store Managers Ryan Slattery, Judy Kline, & Meghan Moore; District Sales Manager Andrew Luckadoo; Regional Director Adela Haddock; Senior Director, Corporate Communications David Lipke; and Community Manager Lindsay McSwigan—came away from the experience with a profoundly personal appreciation for Vitamin Angels’ extraordinary impact in supporting the health of mothers, children, and their families
