Giving back to our community is a core value here at Thrasher, and recently our teams got the chance to do just that! Our locations partnered to build beds for Sleep in Heavenly Peace. This incredible nonprofit ensures every child has a bed to call their own. We have some big news. Bix Basement Systems has officially become part of the Thrasher family. 🎉 In many ways, this feels like a full-circle moment. Back in 1960, Bob Bixenman founded Bix and passed down his waterproofing expertise to his nephew, Greg Thrasher. He encouraged Greg to relocate to Omaha, a move that eventually shaped Thrasher into the company we are today. Now, we're honored to carry Uncle Bix's legacy forward under the Thrasher name. It's not just a name change; it's a commitment that will build on Bix's vision and support our communities in Fort Madison and Peoria. “It’s an amazing experience getting to know our refugee employees. We love puppies. We also love helping our community. 🐶 Last week, we packed a van with supplies and headed to the Nebraska Humane Society to do our thing. We removed moldy drywall, cleaned vents on the roof, cleaned up trash around the campus, pulled weeds, helped train dogs, solved a humidity problem, and created holes in the cat condos to allow liquid to drain. It was great to help them get a lot of work they needed done in such a short amount of time. And, of course, the puppy cuddles were a great perk!
