With our members and partners, Thrive Market has now raised $1 Million for our COVID-19 Relief Fund which provides memberships, groceries and stipends to those in need! It takes a village and we're proud to do our part in helping those who are food insecure during these times.
Our fulfillment center Thrivers are the heartbeat of our company and our ability to make healthy living accessible for all. One of our senior most Thrivers is Denise Kirchgassner, who has been with the company for over five years and seen the company grow over time. You can read more about her career journey in her Startup Story below. Thanks Denise!
The new BIPOC Value just went live in our catalog so that our members can support these brands! Woo hoo! We have a number of additional initiatives in the works so follow us and stay tuned here.
We're super excited to share this Startup Stories feature in Pride month with our very own, Michael Chan. Michael leads our Social Media strategy with the Content team and is such an awesome member of the Thrive Market family. Check out more about his story below!
Now more than ever, we wanted to highlight a BIPOC leader at Thrive Market. Since this original blog post was written in Feburary, we're proud to share that Sefanit has been promoted to Assistant Controller! She is an amazing leader that exemplifies our values every day and we're proud she's part of the team at Thrive Market.
"The events of the last week in the wake of the senseless death of George Floyd have left all of us at Thrive Market feeling a rollercoaster of emotions, from grief to outrage. As a mission-based business, we’ve always had a zero-tolerance policy toward discrimination of any kind, in our company or with anyone we do business. But like many of you, we’ve been asking ourselves in recent days: How can we do more to combat systemic racism?" We're talking the talk AND more importantly, walking the walk about what we're doing as a company. Please read the message from our CEO, Nick Green, on our stance with the Black Lives Matter movement.
Proud of our CEO for this amazing act of kindness! <3 <3 <3
Kudos to the Batesville team for supporting their community! A teacher from Batesville High School organized thank you letters and snack distribution to area nursing homes (The Waters, St. Andrews and The Chateau). Margaret Mary Healthcare and First Responders will be next! The Batesville team donated energy bars and cookies to help in her efforts to support. Thank you team! What a great example of living our values! <3 <3 <3
Yesterday alone, Thrive Market members donated over $6,000 to the Thrive Market COVID-19 Relief Fund, which the company is matching dollar for dollar. Thanks to our members donating at checkout, over the last 10 days we’ve been able to distribute over $110,000 in grocery stipends and free Thrive Market membership to families affected by COVID-19. We're proud to be giving back during these unprecedented times. It's the right thing to do and it's who we are as a company at our core. We're all in this together! <3 <3 <3
While the country came to a pause, our Fulfillment Center Thrivers, which are considered an essential business, have been working tirelessly to keep the country fueled with healthy groceries delivered to the doors of our members. We can't thank our AMAZING FC Teams for their passion and tenacity during these teams and our members greatly appreciate it! We're all in this together! <3 <3 <3
