The Medical-Surgical unit is a 24 bed unit that consists of 18 medical surgical, acute care beds and 6 Intermediate Care beds. We follow a very unique Partners in Care practice model where the nurse and nursing assistant work together to care for the same patient assignment. Our team will provide surgical observation for orthopedics, neurosurgery and general acute care surgery. Cardiac Nurses: Our Acute & Intermediate Coronary Care Unit (3 Anderson) at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill is now hiring an RN Clinical Nurse II to join our One Great Team! This position qualifies for our RN Incentive Program, which includes up to $20,000 commitment incentive or up to $25,000 tuition loan forgiveness. 3 Anderson is a 25-bed unit that is comprised of 6 step-down beds and 19 acute care beds. Patients on this unit include myocardial infarction, heart failure, and arrhythmia. Included in our care are pre and post-cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures such as pacemaker placement, implantable cardioverter-defibrillator placement, and ablation. All nurses on the unit rotate through the ICCU and are experienced with multiple vasoactive infusions and invasive devices, including arterial lines and chest tubes.
