Exciting updates as UK rigid fleet now has 35 new trucks! Improvements like the Euro 6 engines alonside telematics to track and improve driver behaviour will increase fuel efficiency and reduce our emissions impact. Total Case Incident Rate (TCIR) is our key performance indicator when it comes to evaluating safety performance. In 2020 we set another record and achieved our lowest TCIR ever of 0.36, well below our goal of 0.68. As a company with safety at its core, we are never satisfied no matter how low the number of incidents reported. We continually look for areas of improvement to help ensure every Univar Solutions employee goes home to their family unharmed each day and that we continue to keep our communities safe. On Women’s Equality Day in the US, our Women’s Inclusion Network (WIN) thanked the leaders at every level within Univar Solutions for their commitment to advancing gender equality in the workplace! It happens in the day-to-day actions, but also in watershed moments, such as recently when our WIN team and Chief People Officer, Jennifer McIntyre, hosted a candid conversation around effective ways to set boundaries in the workplace that help to increase equality for our women across the globe. Participants learned effective strategies for advocating their personal value, managing priorities, delegating responsibility, and managing expectations with stakeholders in ways that break gender stereotypes. #WherePeopleMatter
