A seasoned executive and former investment banker, Michael Laskoff recently joined the VNSNY Board of Directors (actually he is returning to the VNSNY Board having served from 2010 through 2015). Michael's specialty is combining emerging technology and business-model innovations to develop effective, scalable healthcare solutions. “I hope my behavioral-health expertise can help VNSNY expand that offering to many more people. I’ve been doing telehealth longer than most people, and I see it as an honor and an obligation to bring my understanding of emerging business models to VNSNY, and to help implement new ways of providing care that telehealth makes possible.”
Former investment banker and current healthcare consultant Steven Bussey recently joined the VNSNY Board of Directors. With more than 25 years of experience in corporate finance and restructuring, sales, and healthcare services, VNSNY Board member Steven Bussey has devoted much of his career to creating strategies for improving the healthcare delivery system in New York State. “In terms of my contribution to the VNSNY Board, I see myself as a person who wants to use my skills in the financial, operational, and strategic side of health care to help eliminate the equity disparity for people of color and disadvantaged communities, which is very much in alignment with the overall VNSNY mission.”
“I’ve been looking for solutions for patients who are impacted by complex illness my whole career. At VNSNY, we are always looking for opportunities to improve patient outcomes. In the beginning of the pandemic, we had so many unknowns, and we have created our own evidence-based teams with new policies and procedures to reach complex populations during this time of fear that so many of them experienced.” -Dian Traisci-Marandola, DNP, RN, MPH, BC-NP, College Relations Manager

"Community engagement signifies outreach and lending a hand to help those who are most vulnerable. I take joy in reaching out to community-based organizations because they can access populations that we might not necessarily be able to reach. As a part of the VNSNY family, I have adopted the mission statement to reach out to those who are less fortunate and in need of help the most. As we engage in our community with acts of selflessness, we uncover true harmony. That is what brings success." -Isaac Lama, Outreach and Enrollment Specialist
