Better evidence makes precision health possible. We're excited to announce a new collaboration that brings together Samsung Galaxy Watch with Verily’s precision health platform, Pre, to create an integrated solution for generating evidence and monitoring real-world populations. Together, we’ll accelerate research for life sciences and government customers by combining advanced health analytics with consumer-grade wearable data. This work builds on our long history of leading the design and verification of digital measures across various therapeutic areas, including the development of advanced AI algorithms for Parkinson's disease that established the state of the art in accuracy, reliability, and safety as published in peer-reviewed journal articles. “The use of consumer-friendly devices in clinical research makes it easier for participants to engage in studies, while enabling sponsors to use advanced biomarkers to generate high quality data,” said Scott Burke, Chief Technology Officer at Verily. “This collaboration realizes our vision to integrate health research into everyday life, in order to generate better evidence and make precision health possible for all.”

This was a powerful takeaway from Verily Associate Chief Clinical Officer Carolyn Bradner Jasik, MD's talk at ViVE 2026. She highlighted the "Garbage In, Garbage Out" dilemma in healthcare data: ✨ Data in healthcare is like a puzzle where half the pieces are missing, and the rest are from different boxes. Harmonization is needed to see the full picture. ✨ To achieve mathematical fairness, we must intentionally design AI agents and check that models address issues across a broad range of populations to ensure the model runs properly for everyone. ✨ The biggest hurdle to precision medicine isn't the code; it's figuring out how to enable data sharing.
