A tax-deferred exchange under IRS Section 1031 allows for the sale of investment properties and the acquisition of “like-kind” properties while deferring federal — and possibly state — capital gains taxes. We’re proud to have Mike Anderson, CES(r), an industry leader in this field, as part of the Zions team.
Renee Avram, manager of our Twin Falls Canyon Park Branch, was recognized for “Excellence in Finance” by the Idaho Business Review. Renee, we’re grateful for your leadership and we applaud all you do to serve your clients and community!
It was an honor to be in the company of so many outstanding women in our industry as our team was recognized by American Banker magazine among the “Most Powerful Women in Banking.” Congratulations to our honorees, and thanks to our President and CEO Scott Anderson for championing women as leaders at Zions Bank.
We’re often asked why a bank would be such an ardent supporter of the arts. Our President and CEO Scott Anderson said it best when accepting Americans for the Arts BCA10 Best Business Partnering with the Arts in America Award in New York City: “Zions Bank supports the arts through volunteerism, sponsorships, strategic partnerships and contributions. These are elements that are critical for arts to flourish in our communities. “And the end result is that our lives, the lives of our employees, the lives of our neighbors, are enhanced, and our communities are better places to live, to work and to do business.”
We’re proud of Zions Bancorporation CIO Jennifer Smith, named a “Woman to Watch” by American Banker magazine. While leading the largest employee group and overseeing the biggest tech project in our history, she still finds time to empower women in our organization. Congratulations, Jennifer! We’re grateful for your leadership at Zions! #MPWIB #ZionsBanker #ZionsCareers #womenleaders #cios http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQr93

We’ve got a little more swagger in our step after being named one of American Banker magazine’s “Best Banks to Work For” in 2018. As our guiding principles state: "We are committed to reward and recognize exceptional employee performance and be the premier employer of choice." http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQMRw
Zions Bank’s Military Internship Program hit a major milestone as our 100th military intern was placed in a full-time position. A celebration was held Wednesday to honor all 100 interns who have completed the program, which was launched in 2011 under the leadership of our CEO Scott Anderson and employees Brian Garrett and Margarita Angelo. The program offers veterans the opportunity to learn more about banking, networking and professional development, with the ultimate goal of helping them transition to civilian life and find a new career.
During her 26-year career with Zions, LeeAnne Linderman served as a mentor for many in our organization. On the eve of an early retirement, she offers advice to young professionals aspiring to leadership positions. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQmgl
At Zions Bank, we believe our difference is our people, and nowhere is that more evident than our summer internship program. These 64 interns distinguished themselves from a field of 3,000+ applicants and are lending their talents to more than a dozen departments at the bank.
