The hourly wage is good. You also get time and a half for overtime work. I was satisfied. The compensation is fair.

They didn't pay enough into health insurance and the 401k.

We are union so the benefits are not bad. I have heard second hand accounts of AMR in other areas of the country providing significantly lower wages and benefits than what we receive, predominantly because they are not union elsewhere. Benefits are for full time employees only.

Although a health care provider, the once great benefits keep being whittled away with increased out of pocket, etc . 401k is matched at 4% I believe, but if you put in as much as you can to prepare for retirement, usually you can't because plan doesn't meet IRS rules (because not enough younger employees participate in the plan and they include all units across the country which salaries will be much less in Alabama versus California due to cost of living differences).

Everything that they offer as a benefits package is very mediocre. Yes there is a 401k, health insurance, vacation, etc. but the company seems to strive to hit the bare minimums on every point
